Billy Craig
Owner, BC Productions
Billy is consulting for the U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities on a Housing Accelerator project, exploring new systems, partnerships, and storytelling to help deeply entrenched communities – design, construction, and attainable housing – imagine a new path to achieve their health and housing goals, with wood and through trust, together.
He’s leading a new 2025 Wood Innovation grant on Modern Forestry and Mass Timber in the U.S., which will center on workshops, field trips, and documentary film. The goal of this program is to educate the industry on forestry practices and encourage innovative ideas for overcoming barriers, ultimately realizing a new, abundant, and healthy future for forests, forest communities, and buildings.
Billy was a partner to Olifant on two U.S. Forest Service grants: the first mass timber accelerator with the City of Boston, while at the Boston Society for Architecture (BSA), and the Three Regions grant, which will be discussed in this session. His work included building partnerships with AEC companies, collaborations with complementary organizations, and understanding with whom and where information needed to be shared for maximum impact.
Before starting BCP, Billy spent 12 years at the BSA, most recently as Managing Director. Before the BSA, Billy worked on the private side of architecture and planning with Utile and Machado Silvetti.
