Founding Partner, MOD X

Ivan Rupnik, PhD is a Founding Partner of MOD X, along with Ryan E. Smith and Tyler Schmetterer, and Associate Professor of Architecture at Northeastern University. His research and advisory work focus on industrialized construction and housing innovation. Rupnik is a co-author of the Offsite Construction for Housing: Research Roadmap and the HUD Action Plan for Accelerating Offsite Construction for Housing. He currently co-leads MOD X’s collaboration with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) on the Breakthrough Regional Pilots initiative. Through MOD X, Rupnik will continue to shape national and international strategies for offsite construction acceleration, working with federal agencies, manufacturers, and academic partners to build a more resilient, affordable, and sustainable housing sector.
