Founder and Principal CORA Structural

Michael brings over 25 years of structural engineering experience leading some of the most complex projects in Boston and beyond. He founded CORA Structural in early 2023 to pair exceptional structural services with strong client relationships, responsiveness, and a commitment to the greater good. CORA Structural has designed several projects that incorporate structural mass timber.

He is recognized for his creative approach to structural design, efficiency in system development, and ability to coordinate large project teams. A national leader in embodied carbon, Michael co-founded SE 2050 and served as its inaugural Chair. For his efforts advancing structural sustainability, he received the 2024 Presidential Award from the Structural Engineering Institute. In 2025, he was elected to serve as the structural engineering representative on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Embodied Carbon Intergovernmental Coordinating Council (ECICC).

Michael remains active on local and national committees in both structural engineering and sustainability and is a frequent presenter on the topics of embodied carbon, adaptive reuse, and innovative structural systems.
